A Journey To Wellness
Nicole MacDonald is a Certified Kripalu Yoga Teacher, Reiki Master, and Social Worker. Nicole started practicing yoga as she was battling serious physical illness, near-constant pain, and limited mobility. Struggling to find balance, Nicole turned to her practice.
By embracing yoga on and off the mat, Nicole found ways to thrive in body, mind, and spirit. She found her love of teaching through an honest and collaborative approach - working to deliver guidance through compassion.
Founded in 2020, at the heart of ReThrive Yoga is rediscovering the ability to thrive. Often, the path of life is never straight and easy. It twists, turns, dips, rises, has road-blocks, and tough terrain. Nicole uses the idea of "Rethriving," to honor those difficulties and hardships that have marked the journey thus far, while working to live joyfully and gratefully with authenticity, and compassion - free of judgement. These feelings inform and guide the core teachings and practices at ReThrive Yoga & Wellness, with a focus on body-positive teaching.
Nicole loves working with all levels of students, and has a passion for those who are just discovering yoga for the first time, or are returning to their yoga practice after some time away. Coming from a background of managing health challenges herself, Nicole has a particular fondness for those turning to yoga as part of their physical recovery and health-management routine.
Nicole believes that every body is unique, and brings that respect into her practice as she helps clients better connect to themselves and their surroundings, as they find healing and empowerment on and off the mat. ReThrive Yoga & Wellness offers a variety of online public classes, as well as appointments for private individual and group sessions. You can also find Nicole teaching online, and in-person classes weekly at The Studio at One Earth in Shapleigh, ME.

Gentle Kripalu Yoga
Among its many benefits, this class helps improve numerous aspects of your life including body-breath awareness, and clarity of mind. Those who have tried this practice have described feeling more relaxed and less distracted by their fleeting thoughts, demonstrating an enhanced ability to focus on the present moment.
All-Levels Kripalu Yoga
This particular class helps build a strong core from which one can transition into new positions and exercises. This flow centers around control and precision, with a diversity of exercises and modifications to suit a wide range of levels from beginner to advanced. With this class, you will learn and practice the tools needed to lead an empowered and connected lifestyle, while also remaining mindful in every act you perform.
Beginner Kripalu Yoga
Ease into your yoga experience with this beginner level class that focuses on building alignment and stability in foundational postures. With use of frequent verbal and visual cues that build from the ground-up this class will support you in building confidence in your unique expression of yoga.
Yoga Nidra
Dive into deep relaxation as you experience guided meditation to provide rest, balance, and new levels of energy. Yoga Nidra (or yogic sleep) invites you to simply show up and listen. Practice laying down, sitting, or even standing. There is no way to do this practice wrong!
Themed Yoga Series
Take a deeper dive into specialized themes and skill-building through these series offered in 4-6 blocks. Each series will focus on enhancing confidence in your yoga through practices that build sequentially.
Free Community Yoga
An offering to the community, integrating themes of kindness, compassion, love, strength, connection, and peace. This is a time to hold space for ourselves and others while being guided through movement, breath, and meditation to awaken and restore the body, mind, and spirit.

Private Individual & Group Classes
If you're looking for a more personalized experience, private classes will help guide you on the mat with a more targeted approach based on your specific goals. You will have the opportunity to collaborate directly with the teacher, and cultivate a practice that is unique to you or your group.
